Tips for people participating remotely in CCA Forum meetings
- Don't expect the presentations to appear on the web site in real time. Usually, during the meeting, the guy who handles the presentations and MeetingPlace (usually David Bernholdt) is pretty busy just trying to get copies of everyone's talks and get them loaded onto the presentation laptop in time.
- Corollary: If you want to follow the presentations, please plan to use MeetingPlace.
- Please keep your phone muted unless you are talking. People tend to make a lot of noise that the phone will pick up, and it can be quite distracting to those on the other end of the call.
- If you can't hear, or are having problems with MeetingPlace, please speak up and let us know! On the other hand, please understand that sometimes, it just isn't possible to make things better.
- Sign up for the phone mailing list as a "back channel" among the remote participants.
- If you actually participate remotely, please let the organizers know so that you can get credit for attendance to maintain your voting privileges.
