GWACCAMOLE: GroundWAter CCA MOdeling Library and Extensions by Cindy Sonewald — last modified May 03, 2009 04:09 PM
The goal of this collaboration is to create a framework for hybrid subsurface simulations that mix different physical models to create simulations that model subsurface behavior across scales.
FACETS: the Framework Application for Core-Edge Transport Simulation by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Mar 09, 2009 07:16 PM
Promote CCA technologies within FACETS
CSDMS: Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System by norris — last modified Jan 21, 2009 01:34 PM
The CSDMS Project is an NSF-funded international effort that involves modeling the dynamic interface between lithosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, and atmosphere. The main goal of the project is to develop a suite of modular numerical models able to simulate the evolution of landscapes and sedimentary basins, on time scales ranging from individual events to many millions of years. This collaboration focuses on CCA tools support and extensions to enable the creation of the suite of CCA components for surface dynamics modeling.

COMPASS: Community Petascale Project for Accelerator Science and Simulation by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Oct 20, 2008 03:38 PM
The focus of TASCS-COMPASS collaboration is the development of high-performance components for accelerator modeling, with initial emphasis on particle tracking, beam optics, and solvers for space charge models. Also, the selection and parameterization of accelerator components motivates TASCS work on computational quality of service (CQoS), a TASCS component technology initiative.
ITAPS: Interoperable Technologies for Advanced Petascale Simulations by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Jun 01, 2008 05:08 PM
Manifest the ITAPS interfaces for representing and working with unstructured meshes as a CCA component. Make this component available through the CCA Toolkit.
QC-SAP: Chemistry Framework using Common Component Architecture by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Jun 01, 2008 05:08 PM
Employ the infrastructure of the Common Component Architecture to develop interfaces amongst major quantum chemistry packages, creating a flexible, community-based software development environment. A specific collaboration involves the use of general purpose quality of service infrastructure developed by the CCA forum to increase usability and performance of component-based chemistry applications.
CCA Synergia by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Jun 01, 2008 05:08 PM
The primary goal of this collaboration is to foster the beginning of a component community in computational accelerator physics, including creating initial collective effects-based components for an accelerator physics component toolkit.

Multi-level parallelism in NWChem to achieve petaflop-level scalability
TOPS: Towards Optimal Petascale Simulations by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Jun 01, 2008 05:08 PM
The focus of TASCS-TOPS collaboration is the development of scalable TOPS linear/nonlinear solver components, with particular emphasis on the needs of beam dynamics applications in the SciDAC COMPASS accelerator project and core-edge plasma applications in the SciADC FACETS fusion project. Also, the selection and parameterization of TOPS solver components in long-running scientific simulations motivate work on computational quality of service (CQoS), a TASCS component technology initiative.
SPARSKIT-CCA by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Jun 01, 2008 05:08 PM
SPARSKIT-CCA is a suite of CCA components for the iterative solution of sparse linear systems. Major components implement various preconditioners and accelerators available in the original SPARSKIT and its modern extension, ITSOL. The list of preconditioners may be easily extended due to the standard interfaces developed for SPARSKIT-CCA.
TAU by Cindy Sonewald — last modified Jun 01, 2008 05:08 PM
The collaboration between the TAU group at University of Oregon and the TASCS center has the goal of developing performance monitoring and analysis components, with emphasis on dynamic configuration and adaptation of computational components during the execution of a scientific application.
