Design and implementation of performance measurment, analysis, and tuning infrastructure for support of Computational Quality of Service in parallel component applications.

Collaboration Status: Active

TASCS Contact: Boyana Norris, ANL, norris@mcs.anl.gov

Collaboration Summary: The TASCS component quality of service (CQOS) initiative hopes to systematically identify and improve component based software by applying component-wise performance engineering techniques. This collaboration involves both instrumenting codes, collection of performance profiles of components, and the storage of that data in a performance database which makes optimization possibilities more clear to software designers.

Collaboration Notes: TASCS components for performance database management are using the new common performance metadata format designed by PERI and its collaborators.
