CCA Tutorials
CCA is equipped to offer full day tutorials to introduce new teams to its technology.
The CCA has two hands-on tutorials prepared to help introduce people to its technology. The first tutorial provides an overview of the architecture, component standards, and basic CCA programming techniques. The second tutorial focuses on the Babel language interoperability piece of the CCA. The tutorials are designed for computational scientists looking for tools to use and project leaders looking for a high-level evaluation.
Typically, the CCA is invited to present a 4-5 hour tutorial at the ACTS Workshop
, and our team is available to present in other venues when there are a sufficient number of students. The whole unabbreviated tutorial is 6 hours, but we can adjust to the time available.
Each of our tutorials consists of two main parts. In the first part, speakers provide an introduction to the tutorial using a lecture format. The second part is hands-on. The students are guided through a sequence of CCA/Babel related exercises to get concrete experience with using CCA's technology.
