The official CCA Core Specification

The text of the core specification from the current cvs repository can be found here. The SIDL specification cannot actually be used to compute much without a binding generated using the BABEL tools.

Experimental core and port bindings

A number of bindings to the CCA design pattern which predate the SIDL specification or provide features beyond it (or both) exist and are available in some CCA frameworks.

The CCA specification that pre-dates the current SIDL/Babel one is called Classic. The current binding [C++] [Java] is based on the 0.5.0 C++ specification. There are a number of active users of this binding currently and it is actively supported by the Ccaffeine Framework.

Also available is the CCA specification v-0.5.0 documentation using Java, C++ (i.e.Classic), and SIDL bindings. This is deprecated now but the references to the C++ Classic binding may still be helpful.
